Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

I made one wish this time last year; that if I begin 2014 as a Mother of three then I should also get to finish 2014 as the Mother of the same three children. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I got my wish (I'm very concious that there are a few hours left in 2014 yet.

I can't believe how far we've come as a family in a year; and I can't believe in the difference in Martha Grace in that time. This time last year she was still on CPAP as her heart needed to slowly adjust to taking on more work.

Right now she's crawling around the lounge and playing with the toys Santa Clause brought her. Every outpatient appointment we've had this year has brought amazing news on her progress and we are so blessed.

I don't want to ramble on too much, but I do want to thank you all for your continued support as Martha grows - it really has kept me going through some terribly difficult times.

But if you are sat in a Hospital anywhere in the world tonight, and you've also said the same prayer that I made on the 31st December 2013 - then please stay strong. Have faith; sometimes we have to go through the worst experiences and worst pain - but what we are left is will show us that the heartache is worth it in the end, the strong and happy child we finally bring home will continue to amaze you as each day passes.
