I have been totally spoilt this year; both Mark and my Mam played Santa for me and I've had some lovely things. I have loved reading other Mummy bloggers posts where they show what they had for Christmas so I thought I'd have a go making my own. This is not me showing off by the way, I just think it's a lovely idea for a post.
Urban Decay Naked 1 and Naked 2 palettes
I already owned the Naked 3 eye-shadow palette but found that most of the shades were quite pink toned and didn't really suit someone with my skin tone, in these palettes there are more brown/ bronze/ gold tones which I think I will get more wear out of. Also; I can't have the 3rd without the 1st and 2nd.
Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush
I'd seen a beauty blogger on youtube use this brush and she rated it really highly. When we were out shopping a few weeks ago I went in search for this brush at the Bobbi Brown counter and was amazed at how soft it is - so I put it on my Christmas list. I've used it with my liquid foundation every day since Christmas and I absolutely love it.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle
I've seen so many beauty bloggers use this in their tutorials on YouTube that I just had to have it. I use it as a highlighter and as the name might suggest it's really subtle. I won't use this everyday or for work - I'll save it for special occasions (who am I kidding, I love it - I'll wear it every day!)
MAC Lipstick in Brave
I love the colour of this lipstick, I also love the name.
Real Techniques Stippling Brush It's on of the very few brushes from the range that I didn't already own (I'm amazed that Mark knew this) and I use this with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish as it doesn't pick up too much product. As I use a stippling motion the foundation underneath doesn't get disturbed as I apply highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones.
Of course I had a few more bits and pieces - but these are from Mark and my Mam who I know won't mind me showing you all what I had.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and were equally spoilt.
