I've been saying for years that I want to walk around Llyn Brenig in Denbighshire, it would be an almost 10 mile round trip but I think I could do it.
We've driven over the Denbigh Moors and stopped the visitor centre for a Panad quite a few times, but a couple of weeks ago I noticed there were brochures for Llyn Brenig at work. It turns out they hire bikes and there are mapped out cycle routes around the reservoir.
Not only can you hire adult and kids bikes, they also have the trailers similar to the ones we had for Isabella and Martha Grace while we were at Center Parcs, so I called and reserved our bikes for Saturday just been.
I did the mistake of meeting my friends for cocktails on the Friday night, so I was a little bit worse for wear on Saturday morning. But once we got out on our bikes I was so glad we'd come - the fresh air did me a world of good.
We had packed the picnic and cycle half way across the Dam wall to eat; Martha looked so grown up eating her sandwich on the bench.
We chose one of the shortest routes without realising that it was also one of the most difficult, we ended up having to push our bikes up some steep hills - which was even harder for Mark because he had the two girls in the trailer attached to his bike and Isabella shouting "my legs are tired" the whole way.
It was a really lovely day and I can't wait to do it again. We hired the bikes for two hours at £12.00 per adult bike, Osh's bike was £7.00 for the two hours but we didn't have to pay for our trailer as there was a problem with the harness one side - but that should have been £7.00. Next time we go I want to arrive a little earlier and cycle around the lake itself - all 9.5miles of it.
I wish I could have taken more photo's but it isn't easy when you're on a bike - but I do love the ones that I did manage to get.
I'm working all through this weekend and we have Martha's Birthday next weekend. I don't know if we'll be home for the Bank Holiday - but if we are I can't wait to for more days out like this.

We paid for everything, this isn't a paid review - I just think it was a fab day out and think it's well worth a visit here.
